The Federal Government

The Nigerian government (aka The Executive Council of the Federation) must be made up of at least one mnister from each state of Nigeria. This requirement comes from Section 147 (3) of the 1999 Constitution. For this reason, we have included the state of origin of each minister in brackets, to demonstrate how the government selects its members. Below is the current list of ministers as of 13th August 2010 from the website of the Federal Ministry of Information.
